Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
What is it?
Structure for measuring productivity loss for a given manufacturing process. Three categories of loss are tracked:
- Availability (e.g., downtime)
- performance (e.g., slow cycles)
- quality (e.g., rejects)
100% OEE means perfect production: producing only good parts, as quickly as possible, without downtime.
