ANDON

What is it?
In Japanese, it means ‘lantern’ and refers to a visual feedback system for the production line that indicates production status, alerts when assistance is needed, and authorizes operators to stop the production process. The Andon concept also applies to offices where team members are expected to “pull the Andon” to highlight any issues or concerns.

How can I help?
It acts as a real-time communication tool that brings immediate attention to problems as soon as they arise, so they can be addressed immediately. It allows for a “Stop & Fix,” preventing problems from getting out of hand.
